The Planetary Health Alliance
Dr. Berman is a postdoctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the Department of Epidemiology. His research interests revolve around the application of spatial analysis methods for environmental epidemiological investigations and exposure assessment. He has recently focused on the association between environmental drought conditions and adverse health outcomes.
“As a new scientist, I feel that Planetary Health represents the direction of future research. In an increasingly connected world, seemingly minor environmental changes can represent broad and consequential health effects across the globe. It is our job to quantify this impact.”
