Saturday, April 29th

Ms. El-Abbadi holds a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on community health education from UCLA, and is currently working towards her PhD in nutritional epidemiology at Tufts University.  Since joining the graduate program at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, Ms. El-Abbadi has been involved in research studying the role of nutrition in immune function and inflammation, as well as assessing adherence to national dietary guidelines and the influence of that adherence on health outcomes. Her current research focuses on examining dietary patterns from an environmental sustainability perspective, and exploring how changes can be made to simultaneously enhance diet quality for nutritional health and lessen environmental impact.
