Mark Shimamoto is the GeoHealth Program Manager at the American Geophysical Union where he is leading the development of the newly established GeoHealth Program. Previously Mark was the Health Program Lead at the U.S. Global Change Research Program, where he coordinated federal efforts on climate and health. In addition, while at USGCRP, Mark coordinated the development, and was an author of, the 2016 federal report on climate change and human health. Mark holds an MPH in Environmental Health Science & Policy from The George Washington University, and a B.A. in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine.
