Tony Capon is Professor of Planetary Health in the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney. A public health physician and authority on environmental health and health promotion, his research focuses on urbanisation, sustainable development and human health. Tony is a former director of the global health institute at United Nations University (UNU-IIGH) and has previously held professorial appointments at the Australian National University and the University of Canberra. He is member of the Rockefeller Foundation–Lancet Commission on Planetary Health, the advisory committee for the Planetary Health Alliance and the editorial advisory board for The Lancet Planetary Health.
